Really want to wear something like this out tonight but maybe a black collared shirt, tucked into jeans with black heels. Just some Friday outfit inspiration hunting at the moment.

Pale Pink Lipstick

I’m a big lipstick fan but I mostly wear reds and the occasional nude lip. I’m really loving the pale pink lipsticks trend at the moment. I think tonight I may go and see what colour range they have at MAC, Illamasqua and of course YSL (best lipsticks ever). I need a nice pale pink. I love pale pink for winter for some reason.

Get shorty

I absolutely adore denim shorts! I know what you’re thinking. 15 year old clones all wearing shorts and cropped tops. No I’m talking about wearing shorts and actually looking stylish. I tend to wear shorts with stockings as I have super pale skin. I’ve been obsessed with this trend for about 5 years now and am loving that it’s becoming more and more popular. I’ve recently been shopping at One Teaspoon a lot. I never used to shop there a hell of a lot because there’s never one close by but my work move to Surry Hills and now I have access to their amazing Surry Hills store. I’m off to buy my first pair tomorrow. (A lovely burgundy pair!) I’m sure this will become an addiction.

Once I get my new shorts tomorrow I’ll try and make a post with some from my collection :)

Colour Obsession

I am completely obsessed with the new burgundy/deep red colour trend at the moment. It’s absolutely everywhere. Even as a hair colour I’m loving it. I used to shy away from wearing the colour for years as it was my school uniform colour in high school but now I’m seeing it in a completely different light. I need it in my wardrobe now!

Zara

Spanish retailer Zara opened in Sydney’s Pitt Street mall today and I can’t even begin to explain how excited I am! I’ve been seeing a lot of Zara on blogs and lookbook and they just have amazing, affordable pieces. It was so busy today that within the first 10 minutes of opening they had to stop more people from coming in leaving 50+ people waiting outside. So I’ve decided to have a look tomorrow night as opposed to today! Since I’m saving for Europe I’ll be strictly window shopping (and telling myself in my head “think of the shopping in Europe, think of the shopping in Europe”). I’m loving how accessible great fashion is becoming in Sydney. Now I just have to wait for a Topshop and I’ll be happy!!

Ombre Hair

I grew up with a hairdresser mother so hair was always a pretty big thing to me. I was constantly changing my hair with different cuts and then once I hit 13 with different colours. I’ve been every colour you can imagine. Brown, blonde, red, purple, pink and now black. I’ve been dark brown to black for a long time. The only change I make is sometimes having extensions. But at the moment I am obsessed with ombre hair!! Like crazy obsessed. As soon as my hair gets a couple inches longer I will be doing this to my hair. It first caught my attention when I saw it on Drew Barrymore around the release of Going the Distance – I just knew I had to have it! Now I’m seeing it everywhere. There’s so many different ways you can do it with subtle like Rachael Bilson or more dramatic like Drew. All I know is I need it as soon as possible!

Colour Blocking

One of the major trends I love at the moment is colour blocking! Whether it be contrasting colours in one outfit or different bold shades of the same colour I just love love love! You can’t pick up a fashion magazine without seeing this trend on the catwalk or the red carpet. I’m dying to attempt this look but still wondering which way I’d like to go about it. I especially love the bold jewel tones a lot of the celebs have been wearing (as seen above). I’m hoping this trend sticks around for a while!
